Access to the restaurant on the Stena Line roof terrace at the Schwedenkai handling terminal

General Project Description

The regular steel stairway, which will provide access to the roof terrace of the Schwedenkai in the future, was not finished in time for "Kiel Week". To prevent a loss of image and of income in the area of the event, it was decided that access should be provided temporarily using a staircase tower.

Ostseegerüstbau errected a staircase tower tailored specifically for the terminal building using Layher's scaffolding system.

The scaffolding structure is designed for events with a relatively high utility load – the staircase tower meets the highest possible safety requirements as specified according to local regulations for the set-up and operation of public assembly locations.

General Project Description

A modern flat-roofed building is attached to the old, magnificent construction of the Congress Palace. Weather conditions and the onset of Winter delayed the construction so that it was decided from the considerations of costs and benefits to enclose the building with a tent structure.

 

Type of scaffolding / scaffold

Ostseegerüstbau erected a Winter construction: a 12 metres high scaffold which has been enclosed with weatherproof tarpaulins. The floating cassette roof with a span of 41 metres is a special design.

General Project Description

Wind energy prototypes which should be used offshore in the future have been tested onshore. Their gondolas will now be removed for analysis purposes. In order to be able to assess the interior of the systems, they are protected by a Winter construction tent.

 

Type of scaffolding / scaffold

The Winter construction which Ostseegerüstbau erects around the gondolas is 15 x 15 metres, 8 metres high and has a prefabricated roof. The free-standing scaffold construction is designed for wind load zone 4. The air cushion film applied on the Winter film provides particularly good heat insulation.

• Wind and weather protection for the work on the open gondola (GFRP covering has been removed)
• Analysis directly onsite possible: expensive transport, required special authorisations and additional hall capacities at the production location no longer become necessary

Installation of the gondolas of wind turbines

General Project Description

The interior of the gondola is connected to the outer GFRP covering during the assembly of wind turbines. A working platform is needed for the occurring assembly work.

 

Type of scaffolding / scaffold

Ostseegerüstbau is erecting surface scaffolding (also platform scaffolding) inside the gondola for the installation of the GFRP covering. The design of the scaffolding has been specially developed – the scaffold is exclusively supported on its feet; all parts of the gondola (pumps, generator, electrical equipment) remain free.

General Project Description

The company is extending the third floor of its company building. It arranged an outside access so that nobody has to pass through the existing production during the construction work.

Ostseegerüstbau erected a free-standing stair tower as anchoring to the existing building was not possible. A platform with the size 2.50 x 2.50 metres has been included at a height of 9 metres as additional supply and working level. A roof protects the steps against slipperiness.
